Iranian teachers participated in nation-wide protests over low payment, poor life conditions, and ongoing inflation that has hit the country, with videos of the demonstration going viral.

Hundreds have gathered on Thursday in the big cities and provinces including in Isfahan and Rasht.

Shouting slogans against “the corrupted system”, teachers have called for an immediate response to their demands.

“If the level of embezzlement is reduced, our problems will be solved,” the crowd shouted. “We only heard promises, we didn’t see any solutions.”

Videos of similar protests published online declaring that the same demands were requested by teachers in Kermanshah province.
