US Ambassador to UN Kelly Craft on Friday warned Tehran that the Trump administration will continue on its maximum pressure campaign against Iran and will use “other tools” if Iranian authorities do not change their current behaviour.

“What I care about is the government is mistreating and abusing the people,” Craft said. “We have not seen any change in this behaviour.”

The US Envoy talked to reporters about major countries with human right violations including North Korea and Iran.

“We have a lot of tools to use and we will continue to use those with Iran,” she added.

Tensions raised between Iran and US since US President Donald Trump on May 8, 2018 withdrew from 2015 Iran nuclear deal and imposed international sanctions, hoping to change Iran’s behaviour in the region.

Iranian officials claimed earlier that the US’s maximum pressure campaign has no impact on their regime and its governing.
