Iranian media published a news on early Tuesday, claiming that 14 members of their security forces have been abducted over night by a militant group near Pakistan border in Southern Sistan and Baluchistan province.

According to the reports from Iranian media at least two of the abducted force were member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, who have been highly criticized for their expansionist military approach in the region.

The rest are reportedly members of Basiji forces, the younger and volunteer members of the Guard, as well as border guards.

The Guards’ official Fars News Agency reported the kidnapping of 11 forces in a recent report, without mentioning their own members. Iran’s official news agency Irna reported earlier that 14 forces were abducted and that at least two members of the Guards are among them.

“According to primary investigation, they were poisoned with food before taken by the militant group of Jaish Al-Zolm in to Pakistan,” wrote Fras.

Jaish Al-Adel has claimed the responsibility of the abduction in a statement. Iran is calling the group “Jaish Al-Zolm” and consider them a terrorist group affiliated with Saudi Arabia.
