The Head of Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ air force announced that they are keeping military equipment including missiles in underground tunnels, the semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported.

Amir Ali Hajizadeh told the agency that, “very complex and deep tunnels have been made undergrounds and in mountains, where ammunition, missiles, and equipment.”

According to Hajizadeh the first underground missile sites were made back in 1984 but since then the establishment of such tunnels have been going on. He has also added that similar underground bases were created to protect personnel.

“We are the top missile power in the region at the present, and among top seven or eight leading countries in the world,” the IRGC commander claimed.

Iran is seen by many countries as a regime, which highly exaggerate its military power. The country’s Revolutionary Guards however have been trying constantly to show their power especially against Israel by making hostile statements.
