Three units of S-300 arrived in Iran’s Khuzestan Provinces on Friday, where the country’s most important oil field is located.

Earlier on Wednesday, Avatoday reported about the deployment of three units of S-300 missile system by Iranian forces.

Tension in the Persian Gulf has escalated since Saturday’s attacks on two Saudi Arabia’s oil fields.

A number of US authorities including the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have blamed Iran for the attacks on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities. A republican senator Lindsey Graham suggested to attack Iran’s oil refineries if provocations continue.

Tehran denied any involvement, but its Revolutionary Guards have once again threatened American forces in the region, warning that US bases and aircraft carriers are within the range of Iranian missiles.
