The Iranian Lawyer Community has released a statement on Tuesday about the “illegal arrest” of the lawyers by the Islamic regime, asking lawyers, university students and civil and human rights activists to react.

“The community (Iranian Lawyer Community) is calling upon all lawyers and famous human rights activists to take necessary steps in order to gain local and international support for the lawyers who have been arrested illegally,” read the statement.

The statement published the name of many lawyers who, according to the community, have faced false arrest or they are now staying in prison.

“The honorable lawyers, who must be appreciated, are now heading to the prisons,” the Lawyer Community complained while criticizing the absence of law under the Islamic Republic’s regime.

“Despite their high level of knowledge, they were also brave enough to speak up for people,” said the statement defining the detained lawyers.

“If we keep the silence now, we will be next to be in prison,” it added.
