Sharafat Zarini, mother of Iranian-Kurdish detainee, Ramin Hossein Panahi who is sentenced to death published a video on Tuesday and said that the “execution of Ramin is imminent.”

“I am mother of Ramin Hossein Panahi, I came (from Sanandaj to Karaj) to visit Ramin,” Zarini said. “They (Iranian officials) have brought Ramin here to hang him.”

“For God’s sake come and help us to save Ramin,” she asked Iranian activists to support her case adding that the new lawyers “have done nothing.”

Zarini continued that when Ramin was in Sanandaj’s prison it was much easier for “an old parent to visit their son,” but as Ramin was transferred to Karaj last week, “it is almost impossible for us to come and visit him.”

Zarini also rejected the claim by Iranian officials that Ramin has been transferred to Karaj due to his kidney disease.

“It is a lie, they (Prison officials) just give him (Ramin) some pain killers, nothing more,” Zarini said. “They have brought Ramin to Karaj to Hang him.”

Ramin Hossein Panahi has been sentenced to death in January for “taking up arms against the sate” after speedy and unfair trial. He was reportedly forced to convince his link to the Iranian Kurdish opposition political party, Komala, under harsh torture

Amnesty International has condemned the Iran’s decision to execute Panahi in April, calling the sentence “a breath taking miscarriage of justice from start to finish.”

Hossein Panahi  was arrested in June 2017 in Sanandaj while he was wounded,  he was sentenced to death by Iranian revolutionary Court in late December 2017
