On Sunday, March 22, the Prime Minister of Israel reacted to missile attacks by the Islamic Republic on civilian areas in his country, emphasizing Israel’s determination to “target the leaders of the regime and the IRGC.”
Benjamin Netanyahu said: “We will respond with full force, but not by targeting civilians—rather by targeting the regime’s leaders and the IRGC.”
He added: “We will pursue this criminal gang and go after each and every one of them—their leaders, their facilities, and their economic assets.”
The Israeli Prime Minister, referring to Iran’s attack on a civilian area, said: “Their intention was to target civilians.”
He continued: “If you want proof that the Iranian regime threatens the entire world, the past 48 hours have provided that proof.”
He described the Islamic Republic’s action as the use of a “weapon of mass destruction,” adding: “Fortunately, no one was killed, but that was due to sheer luck—not their intent.”
Referring to attacks near holy sites, he said: “They attacked Jerusalem, right next to the holy sites of the three monotheistic religions—the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
He also mentioned the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile by Iran toward the Diego Garcia military base, stating: “This base is 4,000 kilometers away. I have warned about this for a long time. They now have the capability to reach deep into Europe.”
