Nima Mandoumi, a Kurdish artist and violinist from Kamyaran, has been arrested for 18 days by agents of the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Alborz Province, and despite continuous follow-ups by his family, no information has been provided about his place of detention or his condition.
According to reports received by AvaToday, the 23-year-old artist was arrested on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, and transferred to an unknown location.
Since his arrest, he has been held in completely unclear conditions, while his family has been denied any official information.
Informed sources say that Nima Mandoumi’s arrest followed his recent participation in a musical performance in Armenia, where he collaborated and performed with several Israeli artists—an issue reportedly used as a pretext for his detention.
These sources also report that Nima Mandoumi’s parents have traveled to Tehran to seek information about their son’s situation, but have so far received no clear response from security authorities.
The continued lack of information about Nima Mandoumi’s fate has raised serious concerns about the well-being and safety of this young Kurdish artist.
