On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the Nikbakht family in Golpayegan announced that they had been informed during a phone call from Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan that death sentences had been issued against Hadi Nikbakht and Fazlollah Nikbakht, two imprisoned members of the family.

According to a report by Mohammad Mahdavi-Far's Telegram channel, the information was conveyed to the family by Hadi Nikbakht during a telephone call.

The report further states that Mohammad Nikbakht, who is incarcerated in the same prison alongside his brothers Hadi and Fazlollah, said in his most recent phone call that he has not yet been taken to court.

Mohammad Nikbakht, a Christian convert, has remained detained in Ward 2-A of Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan since his arrest by security forces on March 15, 2026.

Earlier, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, Avatoday reported that two young Kurdish activists from Kermanshah and followers of the Yarsan faith, Sajjad Veisi and Shayan Veisi, who are also cousins, had been charged with “enmity against God” (moharebeh) by the Revolutionary Court.

Sajjad Veisi is the brother of Meysam Veisi and Mojtaba Veisi, two well-known Kurdish cultural activists who were killed on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in Dalahu following direct gunfire by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces, according to the report.

Shayan Veisi was arrested during the January protests, while Sajjad Veisi was arrested on February 22, 2026, on the road between Dareh Derij and Sarpol-e Zahab while traveling to his wife's family home, according to the report.
