Germany and Iraq on Monday halted their flights to and from Iran due to a critical increase in the number of cases of coronavirus reported in this country, media reported.

According to a report by Reuters “Germany’s transport ministry plans to halt flights from Iran and China in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus.”

Some 2436 people in Iran are diagnosed with the new Coronavirus in 24 hours, while thousands more are suspected of carrying the virus, an informed source told Avatoday on Saturday.

Iran is believed to hide the death toll caused by the Coronavirus crisis.
