A new wave of massive floods hit Iranian cities on Monday, creating a national crisis.

Iran’s Emergency Department announced that at least 11 people died and 35 others injured in Shiraz on Monday as severe floods destroyed the city’s main roads and streets.

The source has also confirmed the death of 2 people and wounding of 20 others in the cities of Sarpole Zahab and Lorestan.

Massive floods hit Northern parts of the country, starting on the weekend, which led to a serious national crisis.

Thousands have lost their homes due to the heavy floods.

People in Iran’s Kermanshah province also became the victims of massive floods on Monday, only two years after the deadly earthquake occurred in that area. Most people are still living in tents.

Iranian government is highly criticized for its lack of ability to handle the flood crisis.

The authorities have also banned national celebrities from directly collecting aids to the victims.
