More than 2,000 retired Israeli officers in a letter called on US President Joe Biden's administration country not to rejoin the Iran nuclear deal.

The letter, which was written by the Israeli Defence and Security Forum, was signed by the officers and sent to the White House.

Israeli Defence and Security Forum is an NGO which includes retired officers from the army and the intelligence services.

Anadolu said that the signatories expressed their worries about Washington's efforts to revive the nuclear deal amidst fears that the Iranian regime "is candidly seeking to destroy Israel", the signatories said.

Tehran and the world powers have been meeting in Vienna since early April. The talks aimed at bringing Iran and the United States back into compliance with the nuclear deal.
