HRANA reported on Tuesday, May 26, that Sara Sepehri, a Baha'i resident of Shiraz, remains in detention at Adelabad Prison more than one month after her arrest, with her legal status still unresolved.
According to the report, Sepehri has experienced health problems during her detention, including stomach bleeding and a worsening eye condition.
HRANA, citing a source close to her family, wrote that due to pressure from prolonged interrogations and lack of access to appropriate medication and medical treatment, her physical and psychological condition has reportedly deteriorated.
The source emphasized that Sara Sepehri requires urgent medical attention and transfer to treatment facilities outside the prison.
Sara Sepehri was arrested in April 2026 at her home in Shiraz by security forces and was subsequently transferred to Adelabad Prison. During the arrest operation, her residence and her mother’s home were reportedly searched, and some personal and digital belongings were confiscated.
As of now, the reason for her arrest and any charges against this Baha'i citizen have not been officially announced.
